My entry point into London being Paddington I don’t often make it across to Hackney but it was worth it for last night’s meal @miga.restaurant. Delicious tofu - not words I generally use together - wonderfully light and airy, japchae noodle salad and pork belly with king oyster mushroom. A modern take on Korean food from a charming family-run restaurant. Then two exemplary main courses, cod and mussels with curried crab sauce (a bit like a mouclade) and pork schnitzel with brown butter capers and (more) anchovies. Not many restaurants have main courses that are as good as their starters but @1yorkplace_bristol is one of them.
